1855. A Wealth Of Resources. 1855 Titles, With More To Come.

It has been said by Sir Francis Bacon that “Reading maketh a full man, conference a ready man, and writing an exact man.” The problem for most people is “Where do I start?” What book should I read first? The answer lies either in your “need” or your “interest.”

I must confess to being an “interested reader.” I am “interested” to read because there is so much to learn, but I do not read “quite enough.” One skill that has helped me tremendously is “speed-reading.” Let me explore whether we can introduce this skill of “speed-reading” into our church. If we could, you will be done with 1855 in less time than it took me to write this article!

Thanks Ps Steven Tan. I think I need help. I was just telling a church friend yesterday that my reading speed(not that I was fast in the first place)had slowed down n that it took too long a time to read even the newspaper!

Maybe due to age or certain sluggishness in the mental functions? Guess u have to do a research in this to tell me!

I like what Dr Roy King had said abt time :'The Greatest RESOURSE God Gives Us To INVEST As Good Steward Is TIME!'

I feel quilty that I can't manage my time properly. Maybe due to my easy going atitude (I chose a housewife vocantion)as compared to my stressed-up hubby (he chose to be in the business service industries!)

Haha, I think I have said too much already. Better get going to continue with my QT. I was actually distracted when I went to bid my daughter good-bye (she was off to work)at the door n noticed that she did not close the computer, so I decided to check my mail again (not that I have many!!), then I decided to go into our Reads site!! --Long story!

just to holler. I want recommend Philip Yancey's "I was Just Wondering" It's my current eye fodder and it's been a gem thus far. The Chpts are short which make it ideal for a simple short bus ride stop or mrt train ride of 15mins. perfect for the busy people or for those with a less than ideal attention span when it comes to books :)
