Truth Matters (John MacArthur, 230 MAC)

Reviewed by Raymond Yeo (25 Feb 08)

This book consists of "landmark chapters from the teaching ministry of John MacArthur" from 1969 to 2004.

Although essentially a book on theology, the subject matters covered are anything but dull. There is a chapter on "What Heaven Will Be Like". As believers, I'm sure many of us have wondered about it. And here we have a renowned Bible teacher giving us his thoughts on the subject, based on his understanding of what the Bible has to say about this topic.

In another chapter, John wrote about "Shade For Our Children". In it, he emphasized the importance of believers teaching their children the right values. He said that "in spiritual terms, we derive shade from our parents' and grandparents' ethical standards, their perceptions of right and wrong, their sense of moral duty, and above all, their spiritual commitment."

In chapter 5, the author answered the question "Does God Promise Health And Wealth ?".

All in, there are 15 chapters in the book, with every chapter covering a different topic. Definitely worth checking out.
