Ah, Er, Honey

A couple was invited to dinner by their elderly neighbours. The old gentleman endearingly preceded every request to his wife with 'Honey,' 'Darling,' 'Sweetheart,' Dear,' etc..

The neighbours were impressed since the couple had been married almost 50 years. While the wife was off in the kitchen, the neighbour said to the gentleman, "I think it's wonderful that after all these years you've been married, you still refer to your wife in those terms."
